Château Haut Lariveau
Fronsac
France - Bordeaux - Red wine

Haut Lariveau owes its success to a high quality terroir and constant
re-questioning by Grégoire Hubau. He imagines new ways of making
wine, in an increasingly natural way. Following advice from Michel
Rolland, he picks his grapes when perfectly mature and looks for
power and concentration.

Vinified by parcels, 100% Merlot, aged in oak (30-40% new), Haut
Lariveau is the product of a clay-gravel soil and shows great finesse.

-------

The estate, as it is nowadays, originates from the remains of a
Manor-house close to the hospital of LA-RIVEAU, founded by the
hospitaliers of Saint Jean of Jérusalem, called Chevaliers of Malte,
during the 12th century.
