This wine delivers classic Shiraz characters. Fruit has been sourced from a number of our most renowned growing regions, creating a wine with the delicious red and black fruit characters, and enticing spice and pepper nuances.
The name comes from my childhood days. I, along with my two sisters and older brother, would run around our local park, under the watchful eyes of our mother and father. When we had suitably exhausted ourselves, we would gather under a beautiful old Oak tree, with wide trunk and massive almost exaggerated canopy. To gain a few minutes peace, our parents told us if we made a wish under this tree, it would come true. The tree became The Wishing Tree. JL

Press Reviews
2004 The Wishing Tree Shiraz
89pts "Bright and lively, with a crisp edge to the ripe blackberry, cherry and white pepper flavors, which lifts the finish beautifully. Drink now through 2007." Harvey Steiman Wine Spectator (Nov 2005)
“Medium ruby. Brisk, racy, elegant aromas of fresh blackberry, cassis and dark cherry. Very much about fruit, with no herbal edges. Firm, juicy, structured finish emphasizes tangy cherry fruit.” 88pts
